Summer’s here and we have a bumper crop of events lined up for Saturday,
June 5th: a Movie Screening followed by Chutney Saturday!
The first event of the evening is the screening of the internationally
acclaimed, award-winning movie, ‘Gulabi Aaina’ ('The Pink Mirror')
about India’s drag queens. The show will be inaugurated by Vivek
Anand, the film’s Mumbai-based Executive Producer and Chief Executive
of Humsafar Trust, India's foremost gay men’s health organization.
The film screening will be followed by a short
presentation about Humsafar Trust’s efforts at combating India’s looming
AIDS crisis, along with an appeal for financial support. We suggest a $5
donation, but you're welcome to contribute any amount: a dollar goes a
long way in India and the entire proceeds benefit Humsafar Trust.
